Class of 2020 Begins Third Module / EMBA Day and Alumni Event on Cyber Security
Our Class of 2020 in the Executive MBA in Innovation & Business Creation has already visited Silicon Valley during a study trip in late August and documented their experiences in a perspective paper. As we speak, participants are back at the Entrepreneurship Center for the start of their third module “Entrepreneurial Finance & Accounting” headed by TUM experts Prof. Dr. Gunter Friedl and Prof. Dr. Christoph Kaserer.
The module is focused on efficient financial planning from a particularly entrepreneurial perspective. In courses such as Management Accounting, Financial Statement Analysis and Corporate Finance & Valuation, participants learn to draw on financial and accounting information in their entrepreneurial decision-making, especially at startup companies.
Successful startup founders and EMBA graduates featured front and center at the big alumni event on 7 October: The Executive MBA Alumni Club took 50 alumni and current participants to Oktoberfest in Munich for a chance to network in a festive atmosphere. The alumni event on Cybersecurity at the offices of EY in Munich also garnered a great response on 19 October.
Speaking of a great response, the public EMBA Day on 13 October attracted great numbers of prospective program participants, who used the opportunity to learn more about our Executive MBA in Innovation & Business Creation first-hand here on campus. Aside from networking with members of our current class, the guests were treated to a lecture by Prof. Dr. Dr. Holger Patzelt, TUM Chair of Entrepreneurship as well as a prototyping workshop at high-tech workspace MakerSpace in Garching.
