Today we warmly welcomed Prof. Dr. Marshall Van Alstyne, Questrom School of Management, Boston University, who conducted a workshop on “Digital Platforms & Challenges for Industry” at TUM Campus Heilbronn. Together with Prof. Dr. Helmut Krcmar, Founding Dean of TUM Campus Heilbronn and our assistant professor in the field of digital platform economies, Prof. Dr. Jens Förderer, rigorous exchanges of academic findings have taken place on topics such as “Innovation, Openness & Platform Control” and “Superstar Complementors: Do Platform Awards Crowd Out Innovation?”.
