Double Degree Track Participants Complete Their First Modules in Munich

After spending their first two semesters at HEC Paris, participants in the Double Degree Track of our Master in Management & Innovation have commenced their academic experience in Munich. On 4 October 2018, participants began their third semester here at TUM Campus Munich and participating facilities. The new participants received their orientation during an official welcome event at TUM.

After the first two semester outlined the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, the third semester marks the beginning of in-depth explorations of subject areas such as innovation, technological trends and entrepreneurship. Participants in Munich are currently investigating growth strategies after having received an introduction into core areas such as leadership and reflection.

The group also formed project teams for the design and construction of unique prototypes as part of the “Innovation Prototyping” module. Participants made full use of the TUM’s extensive technological capabilities including the high-tech workshop MakerSpace in Garching. This is where supplemental workshops provided fundamental skills in technical areas such as laser cutting, CAD-printing and app prototyping.

In the meantime, our participants will work on developing their own business models over the course of joint projects in cooperation with teams of startup founders. The group will also witness real-life examples of successful startups across the Munich area, including HR specialists Personio. Starting on 19 November, participants will tackle the next module which will also include presenting the current state of their projects for feedback further development.
