The TUM Executive MBA Alumni Association connects graduates of TUM’s Executive MBA programs in a vibrant, international network. Our mission is to foster strong relationships, create opportunities for exchange across industries and cohorts, and promote the continuous flow of knowledge on the issues that matter in business and society. In close collaboration with the TUM Institute for LifeLong Learning, we support our community by organizing events such as the annual Cross-EMBA Networking Event and by awarding the Christoph Herrlich Scholarship to Executive MBA students in financial need. Together, we aim to ensure that the dialogue and momentum built during the program continue well beyond graduation.

26 February 2026 | Leading Digital Transformation Networking Event

This networking evening brings together EMBA alumni and participants from a leadership transformation programme for an informal exchange on leadership, strategy digitalization, and change.

This networking evening connects EMBA alumni with experienced professionals currently participating in a leadership and transformation programme at the Institute for LifeLong Learning. The format combines short keynote inputs from Prof. Dr. Dominik Bösl (TUM) and Dr. Isabell Franck (Infineon) with ample time for discussion, exchange, and informal networking in a relaxed after-work setting. The event will offer insights into current leadership challenges such as digital transformation, and leading through uncertainty. The event starts around 18:30 and is open to EMBA alumni interested in leadership, transformation, and cross-programme networking.

12 March 2026 | Company Visit: Innoviz Technologies

In this company visit, we will explore a deep-tech company developing key technologies for autonomous driving. On March 12, a group of EMBA a will visit the Munich site of Innoviz Technologies to gain insights into its LiDAR technology, laser lab, and test vehicle.

Innoviz Technologies is an Israeli technology company specialising in the development of automotive-grade LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) sensors for cars, trucks, robotaxis, and smart-city applications. During this visit, we will learn how high-resolution 3D environmental scanning enables vehicles to navigate safely and autonomously, even in challenging conditions where other sensor systems reach their limits. We will visit the Innoviz Munich site, which serves as the hub for the company’s European customers. The visit will offer first-hand insights into Innoviz’s technological capabilities and real-world applications of LiDAR in autonomous mobility. We will tour the laser lab, see a test vehicle, and have the opportunity to engage directly with experts on site. The visit takes place in the evening of 12 March and is open to 15 EMBA alumni with an interest in technology, innovation, and future mobility.

16 March 2026 | General Meeting

The General Meeting is the Association’s yearly formal gathering. No board election is scheduled for 2026, but members can expect updates on current developments, upcoming events, and the Association’s plans for the year ahead.

The General Meeting is the Association’s yearly formal gathering and an opportunity for members to stay informed and engaged with its activities. As no election is scheduled for the 2026 meeting; the focus will be on confirming the current board and endorsing the budget for this year’s Christoph Herrlich Scholarship. Beyond the formal agenda, participants will hear about upcoming events and priorities for the year ahead. The meeting will also include updates from the TUM Institute for Lifelong Learning. The event will take place at the Institute’s premises on Leopoldstraße 139, with the option to join virtually. Members attending in person are invited to stay for informal networking.

25 April 2026 | Cross EMBA Networking Event 2026

The Cross EMBA Networking Event is the largest annual gathering of the TUM EMBA community, bringing together alumni, students, and external guests for inspiration, exchange, and connection. On 25 April 2026, the sixth edition will explore “Reinventing Yourself: Career Pivoting in the Age of AI” with speaker sessions, discussions, and a closing networking party.

The Cross EMBA Networking Event is the flagship event of the TUM Executive MBA Alumni Association and a highlight of the academic year. The sixth edition, taking place on 25 April 2026, is themed “Reinventing Yourself: Career Pivoting in the Age of AI” and focuses on how technology is reshaping careers, professional growth, and personal transformation. The program features inspirational speaker sessions, relevant insights, and interactive discussions throughout the afternoon. The event will take place at the TUM Audimax, followed by an evening celebration at a nearby party location.

Christoph-Herrlich-Stipendium

With the Christoph-Herrlich-Scholarship, the Alumni Association supports applicants and students of the Executive & Professional Masters programs of the Technical University of Munich every year, who are particularly talented and in need. The funding is dedicated to our Alumni Association member Christoph Herrlich, who tragically lost his life during the attack on Breitscheidplatz, Berlin in 2016. With the scholarship in his name, we want to preserve his memory as former fellow student and friend.
A large part of the association’s membership fees (70 EUR per person and annually) go into the scholarship. All members and board members are involved on a voluntary basis.
