  • All outstanding assignments must be completed and passed by this deadline.

Please note: You must submit your thesis by 30 September 2026 to attend this year´s ceremony. It is your responsibility to consult with your supervisor well in advance to ensure deadlines are met.

Students who do not meet these requirements will be invited to the next Graduation Ceremony.

FAQ

You will receive an email containing the registration link. Please ensure you complete your registration the latest by 30 September 2026.
No, there is no official template. It is sufficient if your supervisor sends an email to graduation@lll.tum.de before 15 October (end of day) confirming that you have passed your Master’s thesis. The grade does not need to be finalized or published at the time of confirmation.
You can rent your gown and cap free of charge through Robe Academicus. Simply enter the code TUMLLL and complete this survey to indicate your gown size (caps are one-size and will automatically be included in your order). The rented items will be distributed on the day of the ceremony.
Graduates will be seated in a reserved section at the front. Each seat will be labeled with the graduate’s name. Please do not swap seats. Guests can choose their seats freely in the audience area behind the graduates.
You will be called on stage individually as part of your program. Graduates will be called one by one in alphabetical order, which is why seat swapping is not allowed. The name of the next graduate will be displayed in the bottom-right corner of the background slide.
Yes! The Academic Program Director will hand you your congratulatory letter and invite you to shake hands while looking at the audience, allowing our photographer to capture the moment. A link to download the photos will be sent to you by email approximately two weeks after the event.

You are also welcome to take your own photos during the ceremony and share them on social media. If you post pictures, feel free to tag our official accounts, @TUM School of Management and @TUM LifeLong Learning. We’d love to see and share your memories!

Please note: The Technical University of Munich reserves the right to take photos and video recordings at events and to distribute them subsequently via websites, social media channels and print publications. With the binding registration for an event, the participant agrees to the use of the pictures within the above-mentioned framework.
Your official degree certificate will not be handed out during the ceremony. You can either pick it up or it will be sent to you via postal mail by the TUM Center for Study and Teaching once your final grade has been entered and officially confirmed.
