Executive MBA in Business & IT Preview: Module “Business Processes & Technology” Kicks Off in January 2018

In the next year, participants will immerse themselves in a blend of the latest research findings and innovative learning technologies created by our Leadership Research & Development Unit. From 22 – 26 January, 2018 the Executive MBA in Business & IT Module on “Business Processes & Technology” will feature business simulation exercises and interactive learning technologies.

Headed by Prof. Dr. Helmut Krcmar, TUM Chair for Information Systems, the module will focus on leadership issues at the intersection between general management and information technology. Participants will gather their own direct experiences in managing processes during a Simulation CIO Business Game, based on real-life parameters to encourage strategic business decisions.

For more innovative technology, participants will visit the Leibniz Supercomputing Centre (LRZ) at the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities, featuring a virtual reality tour. But despite the accelerated progress of digital technologies, leaders also need to pay heed to fundamental value concepts in their decisions, emphasized in the lecture on Value-Based-Leadership.

For direct insights into the business practice at global corporations, participants will attend a lecture by guest speaker Dr. Joachim Jäckle (Henkel AG) titled “Practitioner’s Perspective: Business Processes & Technology at Henkel”. As part of the module, the group will also reflect on the targeted support of innovative technologies via investment decisions with a future-oriented perspective.

Please note: Registration for this module is currently still open. For further information on the module “Business Processes & Technology”  please visit the program page.
