Executive MBA in Innovation & Business Creation “Class of 2020” Commences Focused Work on Business Ideas During Impact Projects

As a major milestone on their journey towards certification as Executive MBAs in Innovation & Business Creation our Class of 2020 started into the Impact Projects which will factor into their final grades. As an introduction, participants split into teams and decided on their project focus during the Impact Workshop.

As the next step, the Expert Workshop on 7 April provided an exclusive chance to request feedback from 13 experts from a variety of different industries. The expert panel also included several EMBA IBC alumni. Overall, the class was given access to a wealth of experience and methodical knowledge in key areas such as corporate innovation and entrepreneurship.

During the day-long course on Business Planning, TUM School of Management’s Prof. Dr. Bernd Mühlfriedel shared his insights as a seasoned startup-founder and business angel while teaching the fundamental theories behind formulating the business plans required by the Impact Project. Next, participants immersed themselves in two days of Innovation Management presented by Prof. Joachim Henkel of TUM School of Management. Aside from the latest research in this field, the curriculum featured a range of high-profile guest speakers including Dominik Sievert (Inveox), Axel Stellbrink (Stellbrink & Partner), Marco Barulli (Bernstein Technologies GmbH), Ralf Schmidt (Head of Dräxlmaier Campus at TUM) and Stefanie Turber (Comfylight AG).

In between course days, our participants benefit from digital learning technologies through individual remote coaching sessions to move their projects forward.
