What kind of measures are you taking to protect the safety of attendees?

We are committed to keeping pace with regulations and following all the hygiene and social-distancing measures put in place by local and national authorities. It is our priority to ensure that our attendees are safe when attending a module in person or within a blended format. We want to ensure a high quality and safe learning environment and will continue to adapt our measures accordingly, should the COVID-19 situation demand it.

I am looking for helpful information that can support me in dealing with the current situation. Where can I find such information?

As one of Germany’s leading universities, we recognize our role in this and recommend reading our collection of useful, research-based resources: Here, you will find links to key resources, free content and webinars to help you navigate the current situation. Find out how to lead virtual teams, how to thrive at working from home, and how to keep yourself and your team upbeat.

Networking is an important aspect of the programs – how can you guarantee the strength of this program aspect during the COVID-19 pandemic and the potential virtual delivery of courses?

We recognize the importance of networking and know that the current situation presents some challenges. We are looking at creative ways to address these challenges and are making use of blended formats to enhance networking and enable a digital and on-site exchange. The new situation also provides additional networking opportunities, such as “Mystery Matching” of participants via algorithms, virtual lunch break events or gamification approaches.

I am considering applying for the upcoming intake, but I am not sure if I can afford it under the current conditions. What kind of flexibility do you provide regarding payment of the tuition fees?

For our Executive MBA programs and the Master in Management & Innovation: The tuition fees are invoiced in four installments (once per semester = twice yearly). You only have to pay for the first 6 months when you start the program. Subsequent payments will be invoiced once per semester thereafter. If for unforeseen circumstances you cannot finish the program, you are not obliged to pay for future semesters. Also helpful to note is that even though the program takes two Read More here

Can I submit my application virtually without coming to meet you on campus?

Yes, through our digital application platform you are able to deliver and upload all required documents for the application process. For more information about the application process… For the Executive MBA programs, please have a look at our admission page. For the Master in Management & Innovation, please have a look at our application page. Your proficiency in English and your study abilities will be assessed during a multi-stage admission process, primarily through the evaluation of your submitted documents and individual admission interview. For our Master in Management & Innovation, proof of proficiency in English through an official certificate (TOEFL, IELTS or Cambridge) is required. More information about the Master in Management & Innovation application process can be found here.

I am currently struggling to obtain certified hard-copies of my university degrees from public authorities and/or my previous university. Is there any other way to prove and submit these documents separately?

TUM will not ask you for certified hard-copies until you have successfully passed the admissions process and are ready for enrollment. For the admission process we are happy to accept a digital copy of your documents. However, in the event that you obtained your degree outside of the European Union, you’ll need to go through the uni assist verification process, which requires you to submit certified hard-copies. Do I have to come in person to the admission interview?

No, we are currently conducting admissions interviews digitally. Please be sure to test your computer’s audio/video settings in advance and prepare your environment to ensure that the conversation goes smoothly and provides a professional atmosphere for the duration of the interview.

I am applying from outside of the European Union, what should I take into account?

All applicants who obtained their Bachelor’s degree (or first university degree) in a country outside the EU/EEA or Switzerland must apply for a verification document via uni-assist. You can have your documents reviewed by uni-assist at any time of the year, and indeed we strongly recommend you do this well in advance.
