From Family Business to Global Player: Erich Sixt at the TUM Speakers Series
How does a small family business evolve into a worldwide-acting company? Erich Sixt, chairman of the same-named car rental service, will discuss this topic with students at the TUM Speakers Series at the TUM Audimax on May 9th 2017.
Erich Sixt took over his family´s Munich-based business in 1969, at times when Sixt was renting out 200 cars. Today, the DAX-listed company owns a car pool of around 200.000 cars, thereby creating a worldwide turnover of 2.4 billion Euros. With Alexander and Konstantin Sixt the fourth generation of the Sixt family is already active in the company’s corporate management.
At the TUM Speakers Series, the 72- old chairman will be talking to students about how the combination of global player and family business can be managed successfully. The event is open to the public and is organized by students of the TUM Speakers Series.
This is a public event, free of charge. However, in case of high demand, the seats will be limited to members of the TUM.
