GARNIX festival in Garching
From Monday to Friday, 11 to 15 of June, 2018, from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm, the Technical University of Munich‘s (TUM) campus Garching is celebrating summer, sun and “Garnix”. On the forecourt of the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics, the student representation builds a stage, a beer garden and food stalls and offers musical entertainment all week long. From pop and rock to singer-songwriter to hip-hop and even Opera Metal, everything is included.
Student helpers will assist in running the event and providing guests with plenty of beer, grilled meat, sweets and other commodities. An open-air cinema will also be featured this year: on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, from 10:00 pm, current films are played such as: “Baby Driver”; “Hitman’s Bodyguard” and “Jumanji: Welcome to Jungle”.
On Tuesday from 4:00 pm a yodelling course will be offered and on Wednesday, a sports event with basketball tournaments and beach volleyball tournaments is planned.
GARNIX’s official website contains even more information about this year’s edition. The event will be organized by the Student Representation (Studentische Vertretung) of TUM, students interested in working at the event can apply here.
Entrance to 2018’s GARNIX festival is of course free of charge.
