Heilbronn: New Campus Inaugurated

A common modern library for all Heilbronn universities and two additional buildings: Last week “Bildungscampus Nord”, the new northern campus at Heilbronn’s Bildungscampus, was inaugurated. Winfried Kretschmann, Prime Minister of Baden-Württemberg, was also present at the inauguration.

“The new campus is a symbol of the transformation that we must drive in our country as a whole. Everything we need for digital change and tomorrow’s success is gathered here within walking distance,” said the Prime Minister.

On the occasion of the ceremony, the TUM opened its doors together with the other institutions of the Bildungscampus: Visitors could get to know the entire spectrum of the campus at the “Night of Sciences” – from lectures and workshops to hands-on activities.

The Digital Reality Lab (XR-Lab) of the TUM was a crowd-puller at this event: Numerous visitors immersed themselves in other worlds with virtual reality glasses and tasted molecular cocktails as well as icy popcorn.
