International Summer School 2018: Sustainable Entrepreneurship
This summer, the first International Summer School at TUM School of Management will take place from July 15 to July 27 2018 in Munich. The summer school with the topic “Sustainable Entrepreneurship – Theory and Practice” includes workshops, excursions and a cultural program. It is aimed at international Master’s students with an interest in sustainability and entrepreneurship.
Sustainable entrepreneurship is a powerful tool for tackling grand societal challenges and the International Summer School 2018 will provide participants with the theoretical and practical input to become a changemaker. Participants get the chance to explore Munich’s vibrant entrepreneurial scene and visit leading institutions in the field of sustainable entrepreneurship. Moreover, there will be a cultural program to give students a true Bavarian experience in Munich. This includes visiting a beer garden, hiking in the Alps, a day trip to lake Chiemsee, and more.
Participants of the International Summer School 2018 will meet and work with inspiring people from all over the world. They will acquire a sound knowledge of Sustainable Development Goals and the grand societal challenges of the 21st century. Furthermore, they will benefit from the cutting-edge research and excellent infrastructure of the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and the triple crown accredited TUM School of Management. Under the guidance of dedicated academics, entrepreneurs and coaches, the students will develop their own sustainable business concept in small teams, which they will pitch in the end of the summer school.
The application period for the International Summer School 2018 ends on May 15. Applicants who apply until May 1 will receive an early bird discount on the program fee. The fee includes accommodation in the center of Munich, breakfast and lunch, and the costs for the cultural program. After completion of the summer school, participants will be awarded 5 credit points (ECTS).
