Massive Open Online Courses at TUM School of Management

Since 2015, the TUM School of Management has offered Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC) on edX platform in Quality Engineering of Management. The original course was based on the course offered by Prof. Dr. Martin Grunow’s Chair, Production and Supply Chain Management, and was expanded to an edX Professional Series in 2017. This series, Six Sigma and Lean: Quantitative Tools for Quality and Productivity, is a series of three courses which leads to an edX Professional Certificate, endorsed by Infineon Technologies, and to the TUM Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt, which is based on the material on the American Society of Quality Body of Knowledge up to a Green Belt Level. The Professional Certificate is designed as preparation for a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt exam. Today, over 120,000 students have participated in these MOOCs and over 1,400 have earned the TUM Leann Six Sigma Yellow Belt.

Recently, a learner shared his experience with the TUM Program: Learn about the success of Daniel Michaelis, a TUM Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certificate holder, here.
