Module 4 on Financial Management Completed Successfully

Steffen Windmüller on financial risk measures

TUM Campus Heilbronn, February 20, 2020

During the fourth module on “Financial Management”, our Master in Management & Innovation TUM Track students acquired an understanding of the principles of financial markets, and further learned how to analyze investment projects and apply basic methods of risk management and value-based management.

The theoretical input was provided by Prof. Dr. Gunther Friedl who gave a lecture on value-based management, and Prof. Dr. Christoph Kaserer, who spoke about value creation, capital structure and payout policy. Furthermore, current PhD student Steffen Windmüller introduced our students to financial risk measures.

A company visit to Bosch Engineering in Abstatt and the contribution of Marko Maschek, Partner & co-founder of Marondo Capital GmbH, who shared his hands-on experience and presented a case study on venture capital and private equity, completed the module with valuable practical input for our students. His lecture led to intense discussions in class and piqued students’ interest in his field of specialty.
