Module “Leadership & Cooperation” Highlights Successful Corporate Leadership

Our Class of 2019 in the Executive MBA in Innovation & Business Creation is making great strides towards completing their degree. On 23 February, the participants wrapped up the fifth module of their program: “Leadership & Cooperation” highlighted the specific role of strategic and structured leadership for overall corporate success.

In her opening lecture, Prof. Dr. Claudia Peus, Chair of Research and Science Management, provided practice-based advice on “Leading Organizations to Success”. The lecture on “Ethics & Responsibility in Leadership” by Dr. Prisca Brosi, Chair of Strategy & Organization, made a strong case for ethical standards as the basis of corporate leadership.

These insights were supplemented by guest speakers from value-centric organizations, including Tina Dreimann of greeting card start-up Kartenmacherei in her session on “Entrepreneurial Leadership”.

Class members made a key step on their way towards their EMBA next year by commencing work on their individual business concepts, which will score towards final certification. Embarking on their business idea journey with expert guidance, participants received feedback from seasoned project advisers at UnternehmerTUM during an ideas vernissage and speed pitching event on Friday.

On 24 April, we will welcome the Class of 2020 of the Executive MBA in Innovation & Business Creation here in Munich. Aside from executive management training with a focus on innovation and entrepreneurial thinking, participants can also look forward to developing their own business projects under expert mentorship, supported by a foreign research excursion to UC Berkeley and Silicon Valley.
