New module based on Big Data Analytics for Bachelor in Management & Technology students
TUM School of Management’s Full Professorship Financial Accounting has worked with 4 project partners throughout the last 3 semesters to develop a new innovative module focused on Big Data Analytics. The module will be available for students of the Bachelor in Management & Technology (TUM-BWL) in the 4th semester or higher and will be entitled Evidence-based decisions based on Big Data Analytics (EEBDA). It will take place entirely online.
Contents of the module include methods, problems, solutions and ethical challenges in big data analytics (e.g., machine learning algorithms, regression method, descriptive, diagnostic and predictive analytics) which will be presented to students in form of videos, interactive introductions, programming exercises, webinars and self-studies.
The module will be available from winter semester 2018/19 and the tests can be turned in before Christmas. Candidates are required to have a background in mathematics, statistics and business administration. The module hast its own website with more information and an extensive list of contents that will be included in the classes.
