No Second Chance for First Impressions

Business etiquette is a set of rules that govern the way people interact with one another in business, with customers, suppliers, and with internal or external bodies. It is all about conveying the right image and behaving in an appropriate way. And when it comes to business etiquette, there are rules that are not meant to be broken, because there is no second chance for a first impression.

This upcoming winter term, the Chair of Corporate and Intellectual Property Law at TUM School of Management, held by Prof. Dr. jur. Christoph Ann, is once again organizing the workshop “Business Etiquette – No Second Chance for First Impressions” aimed specifically at Master in Management & Technology students. Professor Ann, an expert in law with many years of professional experience, will share his do’s and dont’s when it comes to behavior in an interdisciplinary context. In order to put the acquired theoretical knowledge into action, the workshop will end with a dinner in one of Munich’s restaurants, where the headwaiter will provide some tips on table manners in a business context.

The event will take place on January 15, 2021, from 10 am to 10 pm, including the dinner. In order to participate in the workshop, which comprises both the theoretical course and the dinner, interested students need to register before November 15, 2020 via TUMonline.
