Approaching change processes from a leadership perspective is also a focus for participants in our Executive MBA in Business & IT program: From 28 May – 1 June 2018, the module “Change Management and Human Capital“ directed by Prof. Dr. Reinhard Jung combined current areas of leadership research with interactive content at St. Gallen University in Switzerland.
A new digital learning method featured in the Change Master Simulation with Prof. Dr. Alexander Zimmermann. The simulation divided the group into teams with a high-profile task: In a newly acquired organization, they need to convince the upper management level within six months to align their performance management processes with the rest of the organization. Following the exercise, the competing teams received an instant evaluation as the basis for measuring their efficiency and identifying areas of improvement.
Friendly competition also ensued during a social event at a cart racing track, where participants and Prof. Jung showed their competitive drive. The lecture on “Human Capital und Talent Management” by Prof. Dr. Simon Stoepfgeshoff inspired animated discussions within the group, including constructive group projects and presentations covering talent acquisition practices at enterprises.
The next module followed from 11 – 15 June on the TUM Campus in Munich: Directed by Prof. Dr. Helmut Krcmar, TUM Chair for Information Systems, “Digital Transformation & Entrepreneurship” showcased efficient strategies for building profitable business model in the age of digital transformation.
Next, participants will expand their leadership and management skills from 16 – 20 July in the module “Leadership & Cooperation”. This will be followed by the module ”Demand & Supply Management” from 23 – 27 July at St. Gallen University, covering key business processes in manufacturing and supply chain management.
Please note: The individual modules of our Executive MBA in Business & IT can also be booked as certificate programs. Upon successful completion of the respective certificate exams, participants receive ECTS Credits as well as a TUM-certificate.
