Prof. Dr. Dr. Ann-Kristin Achleitner and Prof. Axel Börsch-Supan Among the Most Influential Economists in Germany

In its 2020 economist rankings, the German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (F.A.Z.) named the most influential economists in Germany. The TUM School of Management is pleased that Prof. Dr. Dr. Ann-Kristin Achleitner and Prof. Axel Börsch-Supan are among them.

Prof. Dr. Dr. Achleitner has held the Chair of Entrepreneurial Finance and, since 2003, she has been Scientific Co-Director of the Center for Entrepreneurial and Financial Studies (CEFS) at TUM. Prof. Axel Börsch-Supan is Professor for Economics of Aging at TUM School of Management.

Prof. Dr. Dr. Holger Patzelt, who teaches lectures and seminars on the topic of entrepreneurship at TUM School of Management was one of the most quoted economists in scientific literature.

The ranking is based on how often economists are quoted in the media, politics, social media, science and errata. The impact of their research is then derived from this.
