The Business Insider about TUM being the German Stanford
In a recent article the online magazine Business Insider Germany compares the Technical University of Munich with the prestigious American elite university Stanford. Stanford is well known for being responsible for the education of many entrepreneurs who founded their own start-ups in the nearby Silicon Valley.
According to Süddeutsche Zeitung German universities lack entrepreneurial mindsets and support for young people with innovative ideas. The Technical University of Munich (TUM) proves the opposite with its center for innovation and business creation UnternehmerTUM. By offering students support in form of workshops, funding and the MakerSpace, TUM became the university with more founders than any other German university. So that every year around 50 start-ups go into business with help from the UnternehmerTUM.
