TUM Alumnus among Top 40 under 40

TUM-Alumnus Andrej Safundzic is among the 40 talents under the age of 40 which the business magazine Capital recently identified as this year’s “Young Elite 2019” in the category of science and society. At an age of 22 years, is the youngest person to have ever received this award.

Andrej Safundzic is the founder of Tech4Germany, a technology task force under the patronage of the head of the Federal Chancellery, Federal Minister Prof. Dr. Helge Braun. The initiative’s goal is to make the government and administration fit for the digital future. On Monday this week he and his team had the honor to meet Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel, Prof. Dr. Helge Braun and Federal Minister of Finance and Vice Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Berlin to talk about agile work in the federal administration.

Prior to founding the initiative, Andrej Safundzic founded two technology-oriented educational start-ups in East Africa, worked in the product management of the AI and Robotics Start Up “NavVis” and worked on applying artificial intelligence and data science at the QuantCo startup in Boston. He completed his computer science and business studies at TUM as the best student of his year.
