TUM Students at the European Parliament

Strasbourg, July 2019: 40 international students, studying Management and Technology at the TUM Campus Munich and Heilbronn, visited the European Parliament. After discussing the legal foundations of the EU in the course “European Business Law”, students had the opportunity to take a glimpse behind the scenes of the European Parliament. After attending the plenary session, the students had the chance to talk to Professor Dr. Angelika Niebler, MEP. Professor Niebler shared her thoughts on current issues of European politics and stressed the importance of a united Europe. The following discussion with the students proved to be very beneficial and thought-provoking.

In addition to these political activities, the group went for a guided tour of Strasbourg, enjoying the beautiful city. After two days full of new impressions, it was widely agreed amongst the participants that the EU is an accomplishment worth fighting for. The excursion was funded by the TUM School of Management and organized by Mathias Fromberger and Lars Haffke, Research Associates at the Professorship of Corporate Governance & Capital Markets Law.
