Welcome, Professor Christoph Ungemach!
Prof. Dr. Christoph Ungemach has been elected to the Tenure Track Professorship of Marketing with the effect from November 15th. It is a great pleasure for us to welcome Prof. Dr. Ungemach to TUM School of Management.
His research examines choice architecture related to environmentally-relevant decisions, investigating how structural features of decision environments can trigger different choice processes and behavior.
Professor Ungemach holds an advanced degree in Psychology from the University of Giessen and obtained a PhD in Psychology at the University of Warwick (UK) in June 2008. In his dissertation he investigated decision making under risk and uncertainty involving small probability outcomes.
After his Ph.D., Professor Ungemach worked for three years at the University of Warwick as a Research Fellow investigating the role of the decision environment in decision making under risk. In 2011 he moved to the Columbia University, where he worked until 2013 as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist and from 2013 until 2016 as a Associate Research Scientist, before joining TUM School of Management in in November 2016.
We wish him a successful start at TUM School of Management!
