The Executive & Professional Education offers a variety of individual solutions for both, organizations who would like to train a group of employees and unversities from abroad who would like to send a group of delegates to Munich for trainings. In either way, the curricula is carefully developed based on the needs of the group and in close cooperation between our program management, the academic experts and the client’s representative. Our portfolio reaches from interactive lectures with TUM researchers and those of our partner institutions, guest speakers from the industry side as well as company visits and social events.
Customized Programs for Organizations
When developing customized programs for corporate partners, we rely on long-term partnerships with companies. All programs are designed to take place more than once to educate managers who foster cultural change within the organization. We spend a considerable amount of time discussing the needs of the organization as well as those of the target group, i.e. we meet with different stakeholders to collect different perspectives.
All our customized programs are tailor-made according to your organizational needs and wishes. Participation options have also been adapted to the latest developments. Not only are blended learning formats available (in which virtual and on-site modules complement each other), but also purely virtual programs have been implemented by the Professional & Executive Education of the Technical University of Munich.
"Whether in the classroom or virtually, our goal remains to enable our students to drive forward digitization and the use of new technologies, to build a network in which they can thrive, and to impart proven leadership qualities that will give them the tools they need to position their company sustainably in the marketplace"
In the early stages of program design, we work closely with the content-specific expert professors to guarantee high-quality content and inclusion of the latest research results. After designing the curriculum, we have check-up calls with each professor and the customer to ensure that the detailed content of the program meets their requirements. To ensure a close link with the organization’s perspective, we invite top management to be part of the program, e.g. as lecturers or evening guests.

Best Practice from Science and Business
As digitalization changes the world, it’s more important than ever to understand and display positive leadership behavior. That’s why the Executive & Professional Education of the TUM School of Management teamed up with Infineon Technologies AG. Infineon developed clear principles for successful leadership, but needed help disseminating them throughout their organization. TUM provided a solution through a complex, but easy to use app. First, candidates needed to fill out a “Leadership Profile” which provided them with information on their individual strengths and development areas and identifies potential with regard to the Leadership Principles. Managers then used TUM’s digital coaching app, which encouraged continued self-reflection and development. Together, managers were able to better themselves in four key areas: theory transfer, self-reflection, feedback, and tools and techniques for implementation. Read more about this project, and other ways TUM is leveraging digitalization to better businesses.
