Homecoming goes Homestaying: Virtual Alumni Networking Event
Networking is what the TUM Management Alumni e.V. is all about – and consequently, finding creative solutions and alternative event concepts in times of the coronavirus has been one of the association’s priorities for the last couple of months. With the Homestaying Event, which takes place for the first time on October 15th, we are excited to bring our next after-work session into the virtual space and share intriguing insights into how several TUM start-ups have handled the crisis and implemented new strategies during the last couple of months.
The pandemic has taught all of us how important problem-oriented thinking and flexibility are and how quickly requirements can change. “Five TUM start-ups have adapted to the changed circumstances or even used the crisis as an opportunity and will share their experiences as part of the event”, states Laura Damwerth, who works as an Event Manager for the TUM Management Alumni e.V.. “We are happy to share their stories and learnings with the participants.”
To start off, our start-up founders will discuss their “Corona Success Stories” in a joint panel, moderated by TUM Alumna and TUM Speakers Series expert Silja Wöhrle: AQON Pure helps companies by transforming processes and customer interactions from physical to virtual space. HelloBetter has developed a set of measures for people who have suffered psychologically from the pandemic. KINEXON has been transforming its app during the crisis and developed SafeZone to prevent the virus from spreading while maintaining company security standards at the same time. The founders of Streavant have created a platform for virtual event experiences, which will also host the Homestaying event. Teleclinic with its mission to provide free access to online doctor visits, digital prescriptions and sick-notes has foreseen the needs of the people in times of the pandemic.
Afterwards, the participants will be able to choose between four interactive workshops. For that, Streavent has prepared a varied streaming environment. “For the Homestaying Event we use videos, interactive features and the possibility to see and talk to each other in order to guarantee a seamless networking experience”, explains Lysander Homm, founder of Streavent.
Members of the TUM Management Alumni e.V. can register for the virtual event until October 5th. The participation fee of 20 euros also includes a surprise package that will be sent home for culinary support during the event. Further information on the program and the link to register can be found here.
