Quantum technologies are a firmly established and strongly growing scientific research field with great application potential for industry. Experts and executives in high-tech industry will play a key role, as they must recognize and implement the specific potential of quantum technologies for their respective companies.

This masterclass introduces the new overview course ‘Quantum Technologies’, where we provide an overview of the quantum technology landscape focusing on potentials and limitations of quantum sensing, quantum communication, quantum simulation, and quantum computing.

“QL3 – Quantum LifeLong Learning” is a joint project of the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU). The aim is to set up a training and further education program in the field of quantum technologies.

Q&A Session

While the first quantum revolution laid the foundation of today’s information society, the second quantum revolution, which is just starting, promises completely novel applications such as quantum computing and quantum communications. In this masterclass, we will demonstrate the potential of quantum technologies based on selected use cases in quantum computation, sensing, and communication.
