Certificate programs

The EMBA program has been extremely beneficial, especially in terms of working alongside other students to solve real-world business challenges related to corporate social responsibility and competitive strategy. This intense and inspiring experience has allowed for a great opportunity to test and practice ideas while also having fun.

I am delighted that the new certificate program “Patient Safety” has been launched by TUM’s Medical Faculty and the Klinikum rechts der Isar in close cooperation with TUM Campus Straubing, the Klinikum St. Elisabeth Straubing and Lufthansa Aviation Training. Due to the advances made in the digitalization of medicine and the increasingly complex processes involved in treatment, the topic of patient safety is becoming ever more important in our clinics and hospitals. The interdisciplinary partnership of medicine, research and business holds the promise of innovative and dynamic strategies for the responsible handling of risks posed by modern medicine.

It is essential for companies to assess whether the “quantum advantage” provides them with a product advantage and whether the possible “quantum supremacy” may mean that their product’s technical and market conditions must be completely reassessed.

Theory and practice turned out to be very well-connected, especially during the team project. It changed the way I communicate with my customers today and how I listen to market needs between the lines. Other big learnings came from my peers. With a broad variety of industrial backgrounds everyone brought in a different practical view on the topics discussed.

I chose the CPEA program (VC Track) in order to deepen my knowledge in VC and benefit from the knowledge of industry experts as well as meeting peers. After graduating in 2024 I can say that the CPEA did not disappoint! It is a great program to get practical and academic insights into PE & VC from industry experts and great speakers. It’s also a fantastic opportunity to connect with peers, network and work on realistic, real world investment cases together. I really benefited from the practical experiences the speakers and experts shared with us as well as from the network I built during the program. I highly recommend the program to anyone working in VC or PE who wants to further improve their skills/ knowledge and enhance their network to peers.

The Brewer Cursus was a great success! TUM has highly motivated lecturers who are very passionate about the subjects. The topics were all very interesting. The practical brewing process itself was very hands-on. We brewed in small groups. I was able to take away many tips and tricks for my small brewing operation I am planning to expand.

Functional integration, resource conservation, lightweight construction and highly complex component designs – these features characterize additive manufacturing processes. Consequently, additive manufacturing processes are ideal technologies for sustainable and green production. In order to be able to leverage this sustainability potential, an in-depth understanding of the manufacturing processes is essential.

The Data Science program was an excellent refresher that reconnected me with the close relationship between computer science and mathematics. In just six days, an impressively broad spectrum was covered – from R fundamentals and statistical foundations to advanced machine learning methods and deep learning architectures. I particularly valued the well-balanced combination of theoretical concepts like Bayesian inference with practical applications in reinforcement learning and optimization methods. An intensive program that provides comprehensive insights into modern data-driven approaches.

One of the most valuable and rewarding experiences during the Executive MBA program has been being able to expand my professional network with extraordinary people from across industries, and different disciplines. I was able to gain new insights from their diverse backgrounds, cultures, and perspectives.

The program equipped me with the knowledge and skills for responsible leadership in a time of technological disruption – making thoughtful, informed decisions not just to navigate disruption, but to embrace new technologies, foster innovation and progress, all in an environment based on trust.

The goal must be to make agriculture more efficient, more resilient, more resource-efficient and even more sustainable. Technologies offer us powerful tools for this, but can only be successful in the long-term, if they are seamlessly integrated into everyday work.

What an outstanding course. The instructors make the videos engaging and convey the topics in a much more interesting manner than any other computer science lecturer I’ve ever seen. The course is structured very cleverly as well, with multiple video paths that you can take depending on how much support you need.

The course contributed an important boost to personal growth, and a path to new relationships. It exposed me to a rich combination of the science and practice of brewing. Engaging on-line presentations were followed by two, intensive, on-site sessions of three days each.

The modules of the Executive MBA in Business & IT are organized in a way you can get the best learning experience. For me this was translated into a broader business knowledge and leadership skills that help me improve my collaboration, problem solving and decision making with marketing and other business domains resulting in more value delivered to the organization.

Timber construction has the potential to be reusable. We demonstrate which aspects of demountability are crucial for this – and how they can be integrated into design and planning strategies.

Munich Aerospace’s course “Space Safety” provides a multifaceted overview of the field. I enjoyed learning more about the topics of space weather, space medicine, and cyber security. I found that very interesting and enriching.

Supply chain management is more important than ever. Ensuring the resilience of supply, production, and distribution is on top of the agenda of most companies. Efficient operations are key to achieving profitability. Augmenting profit with envivonmental and social objectives of in the management of value creation networks progresses sustainability. Our program equips you to address these challenges.

The TUM.wood program takes a holistic approach to teaching wood construction. A team of lecturers and experts from theory and practice gives participants a comprehensive insight into the wood value chain. This is particularly interesting for experienced architects.

It is quite challenging to balance a full-time job, family life and studies. However the part-time program offered a schedule that fitted my routine, with classes once a month from Thursday to Sunday and a reasonable timeframe to deliver the modules’ assignments. The course content was a good mix between theory and practice.

Additive manufacturing in its already great diversity makes it possible to get from a product idea to a finished product in record time. In addition, layer-by-layer construction can create structures with the most complex geometries, in multi-material construction or with integrated functionalities, which would not be so easy to realize with conventional technologies.
