The exercises were very comprehensible and foolproof, just the way you should have them at the beginning.

Within this program, you get the chance to work with companies and work on your projects, so that you can actually apply the information you learned in the lectures, instead of just studying for exams and putting that information down on paper.

Today, we face with the challenges of climate change, growing global population as well as resource scarcity. The building industry plays a decisive role in reducing CO₂ emissions. The aim of our work is therefore to highlight concepts for implementing a positive ecological footprint in the building sector.

The Christoph Herrlich Stipendium was instrumental in enabling my pursuit of the TUM Executive MBA, opening doors that might have otherwise remained closed. Throughout the program, this scholarship not only provided financial support but also fostered a deep sense of connection with the TUM community. Years after graduation, I continue to benefit from the strong network I built during my time at TUM, allowing me to access valuable insights and information across various industries through our tight-knit alumni community.

The TUM Institute for LifeLong Learning’s “Digital Twins for Cities” course was a highlight of 2023. The hybrid approach allows for effective knowledge transfer and valuable networking in equal measure. The quality of the speakers and participants was excellent. I was able to take a lot of knowledge and inspiration with me into my everyday professional life. The only open question is which course I will attend at TUM LLL 2024.

Our world is changing and the Internet is the heart of this change. Understanding the Internet also deepened my understanding of the ongoing Digital Transformation. This helps me at work and in my personal life. Thank you!

One of my decision criteria to join the Executive MBA program at the TUM was based on the modular setup offered. The split into modules which mostly took place Thursday to Tuesday helped me a lot to manage my full-time job, focus on the Executive MBA and still spend time with my family as I have two kids.

It is essential for companies to assess whether the “quantum advantage” provides them with a product advantage and whether the possible “quantum supremacy” may mean that their product’s technical and market conditions must be completely reassessed.

Progressive digitization in all areas of society also opens up numerous new attack surfaces. Comprehensive knowledge — both theoretical and practical — is needed to protect the entire digital infrastructure. This will enable us to transition to a secure digital society.

Receiving the TUM EMBA Alumni Association Christoph-Herrlich Scholarship came at one of the most difficult moments in my life, and it quite literally made it possible for me to complete my EMBA when I otherwise could not have. The BIM Professional certification course is characterized by the very high quality of the lecturers and thus the content taught. It was possible to cover the entire range of Building Information Modeling topics from practical application examples to the latest innovative research results in the content of the certification course.

One of the great things about the program is you can exchange idea with experts at eye level. Whether in short inspirational lectures or half-day course modules, there is always a great discussion based on vivid, real-life examples. This is a kind of emotional learning, not a purely abstract transfer of knowledge, as you know it from other training courses.

Additive manufacturing in its already great diversity makes it possible to get from a product idea to a finished product in record time. In addition, layer-by-layer construction can create structures with the most complex geometries, in multi-material construction or with integrated functionalities, which would not be so easy to realize with conventional technologies.

I found the exchange with top experts from the German BIM landscape, as well as with the course participants, stimulating, interesting and informative. The organizers mastered the balancing act between content transfer, workshops and informal discussions wonderfully.

The “BIM Professional” course enabled me to acquire a comprehensive and very solid technical foundation in a short space of time. I particularly liked the interdisciplinary approach and learning in an interesting small group. The lecturers are excellent and highly motivated.

The program provided an excellent environment to learn new methods how to consider unforeseeable changes in the competitive environment. I liked especially the opportunities to reflect the learning with practical examples, and the personal coaching for an own case.

Quantum technologies offer great opportunities but are still limited by certain physical and technical constraints. Thus, understanding quantum technologies is crucial to classify the current status and distinguish real potential from hype.
