Certificate programs

I am delighted that the new certificate program “Patient Safety” has been launched by TUM’s Medical Faculty and the Klinikum rechts der Isar in close cooperation with TUM Campus Straubing, the Klinikum St. Elisabeth Straubing and Lufthansa Aviation Training. Due to the advances made in the digitalization of medicine and the increasingly complex processes involved in treatment, the topic of patient safety is becoming ever more important in our clinics and hospitals. The interdisciplinary partnership of medicine, research and business holds the promise of innovative and dynamic strategies for the responsible handling of risks posed by modern medicine.

The program provided an excellent environment to learn new methods how to consider unforeseeable changes in the competitive environment. I liked especially the opportunities to reflect the learning with practical examples, and the personal coaching for an own case.

Lifelong learning does not end with the completion of a degree or continuing education program. Through our association, we maintain contacts, renew our knowledge in the spirit of lifelong learning and thus create inspiration for new concepts.

I liked that the Specialization included step-by-step exercises and tutorials. Unlike exercises where a student can succeed by simply doing as directed, the assignments foster active learning. The assignments were where I discovered whether I truly understood the material. This Specialization produces real learning.

This Executive MBA has given me a broader overview of business practice, helped me in being more confident in my current role, and inspired me to move on to the next. The program fosters a high standard of learning by introducing new perspectives and encouraging a can-do attitude.

Digitization is making its way into industrial companies, which opens up great potential for production. In order to be able to harness this potential, both young professionals and experienced engineers need sound knowledge of data-driven methods. This training is an ideal introduction to the world of artificial intelligence. Its focus on use cases ensures that participants can immediately apply what they have learned to relevant data sets and to their companies.

This program has given me access to a network with extensive expertise and experience. It is the ideal space to ask critical questions, discuss current developments and think outside the box. Although only a few months have passed since the end of the program, this network has already supported me in several projects.

One of the great things about the program is you can exchange idea with experts at eye level. Whether in short inspirational lectures or half-day course modules, there is always a great discussion based on vivid, real-life examples. This is a kind of emotional learning, not a purely abstract transfer of knowledge, as you know it from other training courses.

More that the common buzzwords! The certificate program provides compact, in-depth knowledge of sustainability management as well as exciting field reports. The development of products that help customers reduce their carbon footprint has been driving me professionally for years. This product transformation always involves discussions – and now I feel event better equipped to deal with them.

By combining different areas of expertise, the certificate program provides a broad, integrated and critical perspective on the diverse aspects of sustainability. The exchange with learners from a wide range of industries offered interesting discussions and practical examples. I am now perfectly prepared to initiate improvements in the area of sustainability and to find sustainable solutions for customers.

When you join this Executive MBA program, you become part of a group of interesting people from various backgrounds, who all want to improve as professionals. Working side by side with these experienced and accomplished individuals has taught me things such as: new ways of approaching problems, paths of execution entirely different from mine, insights, and advice from sources I never had access to. The side effect: a reliable personal network, that would have taken years to build up.

Today, we face with the challenges of climate change, growing global population as well as resource scarcity. The building industry plays a decisive role in reducing CO₂ emissions. The aim of our work is therefore to highlight concepts for implementing a positive ecological footprint in the building sector.

This course is a great chance to gain valuable experience in related challenges and problems as well as to acquire an understanding how to best apply and execute tools and concepts of vocational training.

The program equipped me with the knowledge and skills for responsible leadership in a time of technological disruption – making thoughtful, informed decisions not just to navigate disruption, but to embrace new technologies, foster innovation and progress, all in an environment based on trust.

Receiving the TUM EMBA Alumni Association Christoph-Herrlich Scholarship came at one of the most difficult moments in my life, and it quite literally made it possible for me to complete my EMBA when I otherwise could not have. Your generosity made the difference between stopping and succeeding, and I remain profoundly grateful for the support that continues to shape my life and leadership today. I couldn’t be more proud of EMBA diploma and continued involved with TUM alumni.

The aim of the program is to give an insight into the German expertise and experience in the field of vocational education and training. Students will develop competencies in the design, administration and management of vocational training processes which they will then be able to transfer to their home countries and institutions.

Being part of the Alumni Association is the logical post-program step to foster relations and learnings of the active studies. Every network is as strong as its members are. As a coopted member of the Alumni Board, I want to contribute with my work to motivate fellow students and Alumni to engage in and initiate own alumni networking actions.

This certificate is characterized by a close integration of practical experience with current scientific findings. In the joint DVFA and TUM course, participants not only gain a comprehensive insight into current trends in the field of sustainable investing, but also learn practical tools: This allows companies and projects to be directly assessed for sustainability and investment opportunities to be analyzed.

The Double Degree with HEC Paris offers the perfect mix of management theory and practice. The coursework teaches important theories and frameworks, for example identifying trends in the market and creating solutions for these opportunities. Networking during and after my study experience in Paris and Munich was extremely beneficial for both my personal and professional development.
