I was looking for an adequate advanced training in the field of sustainability and the combination of purely theoretical knowledge and relevant practical aspects convinced me to participate. Above all, the selection of lecturers absolutely met my expectations. Another positive aspect for me was the wide range of topics across the 8 modules.

Receiving the TUM EMBA Alumni Association Christoph-Herrlich Scholarship came at one of the most difficult moments in my life, and it quite literally made it possible for me to complete my EMBA when I otherwise could not have. This course is a great way to get an overview of the contents of the DPS programme. The interactive design makes the course very appealing. I can definitely recommend it.

As a transplant from California, I choose to participate actively in the Alumni Association in order to engage with the network of individuals from the university and to promote the exchange of experiences, opportunities, and connections, especially in the areas of lifelong professional learning and personal development.

This course will teach you how to recognize opportunities, manage project teams and successfully implement innovations.

I did not know that the Internet had such a brilliant architecture! The knowledge from this course helps me not only with computer networks but also with scaling large software systems.

Excellent structuring, very original tasks!

The course was very intensive. It covered all aspects of urban mobility and related technical aspects. The professors, who are from reputed universities, made the chapters cohesive, conceptual and practical so that the students are able to understand the circumstances, past, present and future scenario of urban mobility in an industrialized environment.

Receiving the Christoph Herrlich Scholarship from the TUM EMBA Alumni Association not only helped reduce the cost of my self-funded studies, but also reaffirmed for me the values of community spirit and commitment within the alumni community, of which I am now a proud member. I am very grateful for the financial support. Through interactions with the other scholarship recipients and the board members of the Alumni Association, I also feel even more connected to the community’s international professional network.

From day one of my practical phase, Voith showed me that they were fully involved and that what I did was a real enrichment for them. Today, we face with the challenges of climate change, growing global population as well as resource scarcity. The building industry plays a decisive role in reducing CO₂ emissions. The aim of our work is therefore to highlight concepts for implementing a positive ecological footprint in the building sector.

The Digital Product Development course was really good! It taught me a lot about how to create products, starting with understanding what users need. I worked on projects which was fun and helped me learn better. The instructors provided good information. I think this course is great for anyone who wants to make a digital product. I definitely recommend it!

Munich Aerospace’s course “Space Safety” provides a multifaceted overview of the field. I enjoyed learning more about the topics of space weather, space medicine, and cyber security. I found that very interesting and enriching.

The Brewer Cursus was a great success! TUM has highly motivated lecturers who are very passionate about the subjects. The topics were all very interesting. The practical brewing process itself was very hands-on. We brewed in small groups. I was able to take away many tips and tricks for my small brewing operation I am planning to expand.

As technological progress is advancing faster, the ethical and moral aspects of technology need more attention and transparent, educated public discourse is crucial to foster sustainable and responsible innovation!

One of my decision criteria to join the Executive MBA program at the TUM was based on the modular setup offered. The split into modules which mostly took place Thursday to Tuesday helped me a lot to manage my full-time job, focus on the Executive MBA and still spend time with my family as I have two kids.

Having over twenty years of experience in both technical and management roles, I always found that I was missing certain tools in my ‘toolbox’ – especially when it came to working with senior executives. After attending the Executive MBA in Business & IT at the TUM, I am confident about engaging in deeper discussions because I now use these newly gained tools.
