Prof. Dr. Claudia Peus

Prof. Dr. Claudia Peus has been Professor of Research and Science Management at Technische Universität München since May 2011, Vice Dean of Executive & Professional Education at the TUM School of Management from 2014 until 2020, Senior Vice President Talent Management and Diversity since October 2017 and Founding Director of the TUM Institute for Life Long Learning since 2020. She obtained her Ph.D. from Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich (LMU). Subsequently, she was a Visiting Scholar at the Sloan School of Management (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) and a Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard University. In her research Prof. Peus focuses on effective leadership and leadership development, research and science management as well as (international) HR management. She uses a combination of laboratory experiments, field studies and cross-cultural comparisons to investigate these areas.
Prof. Dr. Christoph Kaserer

Prof. Dr. Christoph Kaserer is co-director of the Center for Entrepreneurial and Financial Studies (CEFS) and Full Professor of Finance at TechnischeUniversität München (TUM). From 2005 to 2010 he acted also as the Dean of the TUM School of Management. His area of expertise is corporate finance, project and infrastructure finance, financial markets, private equity, and asset management.
Kaserer published his research in leading international academic journals. He is among the top 150 worldwide downloaded authors on the Social Science Research Network (ssrn.com). In 2005 he was awarded with the “Innovationspreis der Stiftung Industrieforschung” (together with his colleague Ann-Kristin Achleitner) for the development of the German Entrepreneurial Index GEX© in a joint project with Deutsche Börse AG. He is also active as an expert for private companies and public institutions. Recently, he acted as an expert to the German Government in the context of private equity and venture capital regulation. Since 2008 he is the Chairman of the Governing Body of the Private Equity Research Exchange Platform (PEREP) established by the EVCA.
Before joining TUM he was a Full Professor of Financial Management and Accounting at Université de Fribourg, Switzerland. He holds a degree in economics from the University of Vienna. Kaserer is married and has three children. He is German and Italian citizen.
Prof. Dr. Helmut Krcmar
Focus area: Executive MBA in Business & IT
Prof. Dr. Helmut Krcmar’s research covers information management, IT-enabled value networks, service management, computer-supported cooperative work and information systems for IT service providers in healthcare and e-government.
He studied business management in Saarbrücken and obtained his doctorate in 1983. After that, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the IBM Los Angeles Scientific Center and as assistant professor of information systems at the Leonard Stern Graduate School of Business, New York University and Baruch College, City University of New York. From 1987 to 2002, he held the Chair of Information Systems at the University of Hohenheim, Stuttgart. From 2000 to 2002, he served as Dean of the Department of Business, Economics and Social Sciences. He is a member of the TUM School of Management and was Dean of the Department of Informatics from 2010 to 2013.
Prof. Dr. Hana Milanov
Focus area: Executive MBA in Innovation & Business Creation
Prof. Dr. Hana Milanov is the Academic Director of Executive MBA in Innovation and Business Creation. She holds the Professorship of International Entrepreneurship at TUM School of Management and conducts research at the nexus of literatures in entrepreneurship, international business and networks. Her work was published in top academic journals in the fields of Strategy and Entrepreneurship, such as Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Business Venturing, and Academy of Management Perspectives.
Hana is also passionate about teaching, and experienced in teaching across undergraduate, masters, MBA, PhD and Executive MBA Programs. She received her Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship and Strategy from Kelley School of Business, Indiana University. Prior to joining TUM, she was a Professor of Entrepreneurship at IE Business School in Madrid where she continues to teach as a visiting faculty.
Prof. Dr. Thomas Hutzschenreuter
Focus Area: Strategy, International Management, General Management
Professor Thomas Hutzschenreuter holds the Chair of Strategic and International Management at Technical University of Munich (TUM). In addition, at TUM School of Management he serves as Vice Dean International Affairs & Alliances. Before joining TUM, from 2002 to 2015, he taught at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management where he held the Chair of Corporate Strategy and Governance. Moreover, he was Professor of International Management at Boston University, Visiting Scholar at Duke University – Fuqua School of Business, University of Illinois at Urbana-Campaign, Florida International University, and at the University of Calgary – Haskayne School of Business.
In 2018, Professor Hutzschenreuter received the „Executive Education Award for Teaching Excellence“ by TUM School of Management. His research received multiple national and international awards, such as the “Haynes Prize for the Most Promising Scholar in International Business“ by Academy of International Business, the “Best Annual Paper Award” by the Journal of Management Studies, and the “Best Annual Paper Award” by the Verband der Hochschullehrer für Betriebswirtschaft. Moreover, he received the “Best Teacher Award“ by Bucerius Law School and WHU as well as the „Best Senior Editor Award” by Management and Organization Review.
Professor Hutzschenreuter’s research interests include uncertainty, expansion strategies of MNEs, top management teams, corporate governance, and the theory of the firm. His research has appeared in journals such as Strategic Management Journal, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Management, Leadership Quarterly, and Strategic Organization. Currently, Professor Hutzschenreuter is Senior Editor of Management and Organization Review and Editorial Board Member of the Journal of International Business Studies among other academic journals. Professor Hutzschenreuter loves to write essays for Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and other business press, serves as academic advisor for large and medium-sized companies, and gives invited keynote speeches.
Prof. Dr. – Ing. André Borrmann
Prof. Dr.-Ing. André Borrmann has been head of the Chair of Computational Modeling and Simulation at TUM since 2011, and has been spokesperson for the Leonhard Obermeyer Center of Digital Methods for the Built Environment at TUM since 2013. One of his main research interests is the further development of Building Information Modeling methods.
Prof. Borrmann has contributed to the BMVI’s BIM step-by-step plan, was intensively involved in the BIM4INFRA2020 project to implement the plan, and has been active in the national BIM competence center “BIM-Deutschland” since 2019.
He is a member of DIN’s “Building Information Modeling” expert group and has contributed to the VDI guideline series 2552. Prof. Borrmann is the author of more than 250 publications and has received several international awards for his research work.
Prof. Dr. Frank Petzold
Prof. Dr. Frank Petzold is engaged in research and teaching of information technology to support the architectural design processes. After studying computer science, he worked as a research associate at the Bauhaus University Weimar. After completing his doctorate in 2001, he assumed the position of junior professor of architectural informatics in Weimar. He was appointed full professor at TUM in 2009. In 2014, he co-founded the TUM LOC and since 2017, he is an associate member of the department of Informatics.
Prof. Petzold is a founding member of the Association of Architectural Informatics in German- speaking regions. Since 2015, he has been Vice President of the DARL and a member of the task force AKIM of the Federal Association of the German Construction Industry. In 2020, he became spokesperson for the platform “Digital Building and Planning” at Z.DB. At TUM, he is member of TUM-IAS Advisory Council and of Scientific Advisory Board of the Georg Nemetschek Institute.
