Zukunft³, this title hides questions about three important aspects of our future – with regard to the future of leadership, work and learning. What will change in these areas? Three scientists from the Technical University of Munich (TUM), who are also anchored in practice, will bring three aspects to the table on May 3, 2021. Dr. Kristin Knipfer, Executive Director TUM Institute for LifeLong Learning, will discuss with them in a scientific online event – questions from participants are very welcome.

“Prof. Dr. Claudia Peus, Founding Director of the TUM Institute for LifeLong Learning, focuses on people in the digital world. She will comment on what responsible leadership will look like in the future. Among other things, I will ask her whether we will have to accept robots as leaders in the future,” announces Kristin Knipfer.

Prof. Dr. Helmut Krcmar will address the question of how the digital transformation is changing our working environment. The internationally renowned economist held the Chair of Business Informatics at TUM for many years. Krcmar is currently the founding dean and representative of the president of the TUM Campus Heilbronn. Among other things, he deals with agile methods and will explain how the roles of employees in companies are currently changing – towards teams that work independently without hierarchical leadership.

Prof. Dr. Tina Seidel will talk about the future of learning and teaching. She has held the Friedl Schöller Endowed Chair for Teaching and Higher Education Research at TUM since 2010, and her research interests lie in teaching and teacher research. She is currently establishing the first German-language Teaching Clearing House to promote evidence-based teaching in teacher education as part of Teach@TUM.

“Among other things, Prof. Seidel will provide answers to the question of which teaching and learning approaches make sense in order to prepare young people well for a digital working world. After all, they should be able to competently help shape the digital transformation,” says Dr. Kristin Knipfer. As a psychologist who wrote her doctorate on the future of learning, she is very familiar with the three fields of leadership, work and learning and will moderate the Zukunft³ panel discussion. In a subsequent Q&A session, she and her guests will address the participants’ questions.
