TUM Campus Heilbronn welcomes its new professors

Joining us this year for their new appointments at TUM School of Management at TUM Campus Heilbronn are Prof. Dr. Martin Meißner and Prof. Dr. Chengguang Li. Their research and areas of expertise range from virtual and augmented reality, decision making processes using eye-tracking and social media and digitization to global strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic alliances and joint ventures. With such a rich depth and breadth of knowledge, we could not be more pleased to have them further enrich our already outstanding team of educators. We are delighted to welcome them, and we wish them a successful start in Heilbronn!

Prof. Dr. Martin Meißner is joining the TUM Campus Heilbronn as Professor of Digital Marketing at the Center for Digital Transformation. Prof. Meißner studied Business Administration at Bielefeld University and subsequently finished his PhD thesis on Preference Measurement for Complex Products at the Chair of Marketing at Bielefeld University. He then received a grant from the DFG for a research stay at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. Subsequently, he worked as an Associate Professor of Marketing at the University of Southern Denmark, during which time, he also got an Adjunct Senior Lecturer position at Monash University. Before joining the TUM School of Management, he held the Chair of Marketing at the Department of Business and Economics at Zeppelin University.

Prof. Dr. Chengguang Li

Joining Prof. Dr. Martin Meißner at the TUM Campus Heilbronn is Prof. Dr. Chengguang Li as Professor of Strategic Management at the Global Center for Family Enterprise. Prior to joining TUM, he was an Assistant Professor at Ivey Business School, a Postdoctoral Fellow and project leader for the Industry 4.0 initiative of the German Federal Ministry (BMBF) in Paderborn, and a consultant at the Boston Consulting Group and Roland Berger in Berlin, Munich, and Dubai. His research interests lie in the fields of global strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic alliances and joint ventures, and examines the impact of contextual factors, such as the cultural environment, on multinational enterprise strategies.
